M3 is a large, bright globular cluster found in the constellation Canes Venatici.
This is the first usable image from a bunch of new or nearly new gear put together at the start of the 2015 season. This includes a new imaging camera and autoguider and a new laptop dedicated for image capturing. Even the telescope was almost new, less than a year old and had not yet been used for any real imaging up to that point.
