The Pacman Nebula is an emission nebula found in the Cassiopeia constellation. The shape of the nebula gets its name from its resemblence to a character from the popular video game.

In this image, the PacMan does not look all that PacMan like. It's rotated wrong and is sort of a bit over done.

In my original image of this nebula, seen below, the nebula does look more like the video game character. It is also more colorful but not quite as bright or large.

The primary difference between the two images is due to the H-Alpha filter used on the above picture. These pictures were also taken with different telescopes and different cameras. But mainly, the noticable differences are due to the fact that the original below was taken in optical light only while the later one above used the Ha filter to bring out much more of the the deep red glowing gas.
