IC 1848 consists of a number of star clusters surrounded by a faint nebula known as the Soul Nebula.
This is one of my earliest images. It was taken with my first telescope, a C8 on a CG5 mount. Its unguided and was done with my wife's Nikon D90.

Due to the short exposure time, this image does not show the nebula, but the tight star clusters inside the nebula are quite visible as can be seen from the close up below.
