This image took a little less than an hour and a half to capture. The stars are overexposed, it's got a lot of noise and some other problems too. And it sure could use a few more hours of integration time.
Still, I never knew what it actually looked like until I took this picture. And I dunno about it being a pelican though. It looks more like an elephant to me. Up top are two big floppy ears. A long narrow trunk is hanging down on the left side. And two dark eyes are staring right at you. The right side is the elephant body and the bottom are the legs.
See: a big pink elephant. And it's kind of an angry looking big pink elephant actually. And he's staring at you and I think he wants to know just exactly how much you had to drink before you also started seeing big pink elephants in the sky. Or maybe it's just me.
