NGC7000 is a large, bright emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus.
This nebula is part of a vast area of nebulosity in and around the Cygnus constellation. It's name comes from it's resemblence to the shape of the North American continent. The Gulf of Mexico part would be the dark part in the lower left corner and the east coast would be along the botton of this image.
Very near this nebula is IC 5070, the Pelican Nebula. IC 5070 is located off the east coast of the North American nebula and there is a photo of it below.
